  Bus
There are not many buses in the small isle of Langkawi in Malaysia and bus routes are quite few. The modes of local transportation consist mainly of ferries, taxis and motorbikes. Thus going around Langkawi Island in bus is not commended. There are few bus terminals and one has to wait for a long time to avail a bus.

  Boat

We took a ferry to the Langkawi Coral pontoon for a day of snorkelling. It costed 210 RM (including the snorkelling part). The ferry ride took around 1.5 hours each way and the water was very calm. We couldn't see much along the way but it was a nice trip anyway...

  Motorbike

Langkawi has a network of roads that are currently being upgraded stage-by-stage. Still, it is easy to get around by taxis but the fares lie a little on the pricey side as Langkawi is after all, a tourist destination. You can choose to rent your own vehicles or take a taxi, whichever is most convenient.
